But it now has proposed to formalize cooking and  nutrition standards for some of its signature foods. The local bureau of quality and technical supervision is seeking public input about quality standards for local foods like the famous Yangrou paomo, or unfermented bread dipped in a clear mutton stew. the news has stirred debate over whether traditional food can be properly regulated with today’s strict quality standards.

Topic: Divorce- Who to Blame?
The ministry of Civil Affairs reviewed a worrying trend in Chinese society in early July 2015, when it said that divorce rates had seen a straight 12-year increase by 2014.Beijing led other big cities in the country with a record of more than 55,000 divorces last year. Some analysts have blamed the divorce surge in recent years partly on social media, especially networking apps like Wechat and Momo, with the letter in particular being known as the “one-night stand app”. These apps expand people’s social circles, making it easier for married people to meet others and get into extramarital affairs, which could lead to divorces, according to some.
1 What’s your opinion?
2 Are apps like Wechat and Momo to blame for increasing divorce rates in China? Why or why not?
3 What about other factors that might lead to the surge of divorce rates?
